Youtube slow? Use Google DNS.

Lately Youtube has been useless for me at nights and it was the same problem this night. I’ve then read that OpenDNS could be the cause for these problems, even though it seems a bit strange.

But when I changed my DNS to Google DNS, it worked instantly! Now I’m pushing speeds over 10 mbit from Youtube, which is more then enough for “Youtube HD”.

So if you are having problems with Youtube and are using OpenDNS, try Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

This has been reported to OpenDNS.
